Definition of terms
For this assignment you will pair up with someone in the class. You will give a presentation to the class on one of the following topics, these are all topics covered in photo 1 so they will be a good review for everybody.
1) ISO and Shutter Speed

a. What is ISO?

b. How does ISO relate to picture quality?

c. What is shutter speed?

d. How does shutter speed effect to picture quality?

e. What ISO settings should you use and why?

f. When do you use a faster or slower shutter speed?

2) Aperture

a. What is aperture?

b. What is the purpose of aperture?

c. How will aperture settings change your photos?

d. What photo details are better/worse with aperture changes?

3) Image Size and Quality

a. Define Pixel and how is it related to digital photography.

b. What are the two meanings of resolution?

c. How is pixel size specified?  (2 ways)

d. Explain how the image is captured.

e. How is color introduced to a picture?

f. What is the difference between jpeg and RAW file types and why would you use each?

4) White Balance

a. What is white balance?

b. What types of lighting are associated with white balance?

c. Can you adjust white balance on a camera?

d. Why would you want to adjust white balance?

I will assign your topic in class. You will present to the class on Tuesday March 20th then turn in a written definition of your topic.  A quiz on these topics will follow the presentations the next day.
